Blue, Green, Red or White Shifts
4 Shifts on / 4 Shifts off
Location: Hamble
To support the ongoing expansion of product ranges and increased automation within the Silicone Business Unit in SP3 & SP4, we are now looking to recruit additional Production Operators on a permanent basis on all 24/7 Fixed Days and Nights shifts.
The purpose of this role is: To assist in the manufacture of Silicone contact lenses by carrying out various manufacturing duties as part of a multi skilled team to achieve set manufacturing and quality standards.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
• Rotating around all Silicone production modules using a variety of different skills to achieve and exceed output targets to high quality standards and tight deadlines
• Responsible for working within set guidelines and SOP’s for operating and processing quality products
• Operating equipment and the up-keep of production areas to achieve production targets with a multi-skilled team approach
• Contributing and focusing continuous improvement within a team environment to maintain good workplace organisation and cleanliness
• Making suggestions for improvement and encouraging other team members
• Maintaining good manufacturing practices at all times
Knowledge, Education, Experience & Skills required:
• Literate and numerate with the ability to complete paperwork to the required standard and able to recognise correct and incorrect information
• Good communication skills with the ability to communicate well with all team members including line managers and support operations
• Basic computer literacy skills
• Previous experience in a manufacturing role with knowledge of a contact lens manufacturing environment would be advantageous.

• Ability to work with minimum supervision
