It's that time of year again! The clocks go back an hour this Sunday morning at 2am. Then on Wednesday 31 October we have Halloween! Kids might come to you door saying 'Trick or Treat.' A few sweets will normally persuade them to leave!!! Then on Monday 5 November we have Guy Fawkes night which is the major firework festival in this country. It's all to remember a man who tried to blow up our parliament building!! Yes the English are strange!
To znowu ten czas w roku ! :) Zegary cofamy do tyłu w ta sobotę o 2 w nocy. W środę 31 października jest Halloween ! Dzieci mogą przyjść do Twoich drzwi mówiąc 'Trick or Treat.' Kilka słodyczy sprawi by sobie spokojnie ( bez rzucania jajkami w twoje okna ) odeszły ;). 5 listopada mamy Noc Guya Fewkes'a, w która to jest festiwal fajerwerków w całym kraju. To jest ku pamięci człowieka, który chciał wysadzić w powietrze budynek parlamentu. Tak Anglicy są dziwni ! ;)

1 Maybe you are an artist in any form of art including film and theater. We are helping a group called Community Builders set up a Polish Arts Group. Come along to the second St Albans Community Room, Tulip Road (off Burgess Road) SO16 3BB at 7pm on 25 October to share your ideas.
2 Do you live in the Borough of Eastleigh (including Chandlers Ford, West End and Hedge End) ? Eastleigh Council is holding a special meeting with EU Welcome on Tuesday 30 October at Crestwood School, Shakespeare Road SO50 4FZ from 6.30pm to 8.30pm to give a special welcome to EU people and to find out how they can help them better. If you live in Eastleigh please come along. It will be important to show the Council that they need to provide services for you. I'll need some volunteer interpretors for this. If you'd like to help, let us know.

3 Maybe you know someone who lives in Gosport. We are also helping the council there run a welcome event on Saturday 3 November between 12noon and 3pm at Gosport Town Hall. Please let people know and encourage them to come.
4 Starting on Wednesday 7 November we are starting monthly discussion meetings at 7.00pm at Cukierenka 22 Bedford Place SO15 2BD. A chance to chat, practise your English, drink good coffee, eat cakes and meet new people. Come along to find out more.
5 The next Advice Session that Anna and I are running will be on Friday 9 November from 6pm till 9pm at the YMCA building in Cranbury Place near the Inner Avenue.SO14 0LG We try to help over any problem and are happy to fill in forms for you. All services are FREE! You can also just come along for a chat
6 Our friends at Freemantle Baptist Church want you to taste their home made cakes and desserts (maybe not all English food is bad!) They are offering free English tea and cakes from 4pm to 6.30pm in their church hall in Testwood Rd, Freemantle so15 8rl. They just want to say 'hi' to their European neighbours. EU Welcome will be there. Yum! Cakes!

The Parent and Children's group at St Boniface Church, Shirley High Street has begun again on Tuesday mornings If you have children under 5, or know people who have, it is a great place to come.
