Well, Summer is over! (Did it ever begin?) Schools and Colleges go back this week and at the end of the month the universities return. It's still not too late though to enrol for university courses at Solent University. If you would like more details, let us know. You can receive help with your English there, and fees are not expensive and loans are available. If you have already done a degree in your own country, then Solent can offer a flexible approach

This Saturday 8 September is the next date for the Barclay's Bank open day to open accounts, to get advice about loans etc. . It runs from 10.30am to 2.30pm at Barclay's London Road branch. Polish interpreters are available.

The next Advice Session that Anna and I are running will be on Friday 14 September from 6pm till 9pm at the YMCA building in Cranbury Place near the Inner Avenue.SO14 0LG We try to help over any problem and are happy to fill in forms for you. All services are FREE! You can also just come along for a chat!



The Parent and Children's group at St Boniface Church, Shirley High Street will begin again on Tuesday mornings from 11 September If you have children under 5, or know people who have, it is a great place to come. It runs from 10am, and is open to all Eastern European families. This group is generously sponsored by Baltic Foods, 2 Shirley High Street. Tel 02380 779209



If you are interested in the arts come along to St Albans Community Room, Tulip Road (off Burgess Road) SO16 3BB at 7pm on 27 September. We are working with a group called Community Builders who want to establish arts groups for EU people in and around Southampton. There is a flyer attached in English and Polish. After a discussion a film will be shown.... but you can just stay for the discussion if you wish!



Also if you like looking at art we are running a tour round Southampton Art Gallery upstairs from Central Library at 6pm on Tuesday 9 October. We'd love you to come

Young Irish lady requires a Personal Assistant to assist with light housework, paperwork, run errands and escort lady places one weekday every week from 9.30am-1.30/2pm and some/all Saturday and/or Sunday mornings from 9.30am-1.30/2pm. Willing to consider job sharing. Rate of pay is Ł7/hr.

Eastleigh Council is holding a special meeting with EU Welcome at Crestwood School from 6.30pm to 8.30pm to give a special welcome to EU people and to find out how they can help them better

Next polish radio programmes on Unity 101. The music show is on 16 September from 6pm to 8pm. Then Community Hour from 3pm on 28 September
